Serfaus is located at over 1,400 meters above sea level on Tyrol’s sunny plateau, together with the neighboring villages of Fiss and Ladis, and enjoys more than 2,000 hours of sunshine per year. There is no through traffic in the village; traffic is strictly controlled and limited. For the convenient transport of skiing and hiking guests to the cable cars, there is a completely free underground railway.
The Serfaus underground railway even holds a Guinness World Record as the smallest and highest-altitude air-cushion underground railway in the world.
